He then decided to pursue dentistry and completed and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in 2015.

While in dental school, Dr. Kazemi completed an Advanced Clinical Training program, where he received hands-on training performing emergency and complicated dental work in underserved and rural areas throughout Colorado. After dental school, Dr. Kazemi completed several additional programs, including implants training, orthodontic training with Invisalign and cosmetic cases with full mouth rehab. He has also continued to serve communities in need by traveling on multiple missions to Central and Latin America to provide dental work.

When not at work, you can find Dr. Kazemi spending time with his wife Alice (a pharmacist and a Boulder native) and their German Shepherd named Rex, who is also the office mascot. The Kazemis love Colorado and all things outdoorsy, from skiing in the winter to hiking and camping in the summer. They also enjoy traveling around the state and beyond.

Dr. Kazemi is very passionate about providing his patients with the best dental care and treatments possible. To him, ensuring his patients have a great experience is his practice’s most important job.

What happens during a dental checkup?

A dental checkup typically involves a thorough examination of your teeth, gums, and mouth. Your dentist will check for any signs of tooth decay, gum disease, oral cancer, or other dental issues. X-rays may be taken if necessary. Additionally, your teeth will be professionally cleaned and polished to remove plaque and tartar buildup.

Are dental checkups painful?

Dental checkups are generally painless. However, you may experience slight discomfort during certain procedures, such as dental cleanings or when X-rays are taken. Your dentist will ensure your comfort throughout the process and can use local anesthesia if needed.

Can dental checkups detect other health problems?
